Maple flooring is one of the most popular hardwood options because of its light color, uniform texture, and attractive variations. With more than 20 colors and three maple grades, as well as infinite combinations of thickness and texture, every hardwood floor is customized to you.
Adaptability and Flexibility: A unique factor of hardwood flooring is its capability of lasting a lifetime. That, plus the option to renew and change the surface to match design trends, makes it a great flooring solution.
Painless Maintenance: All of our custom floors are finished with oil-modified polyurethane or water-base urethane. We use urethane finishes because they are durable, easy to care for, and preserve the beauty with minimal care.
Lifetime of Luxury: The quality of maple flooring shows in its aestheticism and durability. Hardwood maple flooring is an ideal choice for all facilities, especially if you are searching for long-lasting beauty. For your gymnasium though, beauty isn’t your biggest factor. Maple flooring is also extremely shock and dent-resistant, making it one of the strongest, most durable, flooring options available. Furthermore, it’s pale tones increase a room’s vibrancy and brightness while showing off your custom gymnasium graphics or modern decor.
Hard maple flooring has a natural finish and can be used in a variety of facilities. There are three different grades of maple flooring from the MFMA:
First Grade MFMA Hard Maple is the highest, most blonde, and cleanest of the options. With its combination of durability and versatility, this grade has a face free of color variations and knots in the wood. Also, the average length of the boards is longer than 2nd or 3rd grade maple. If your main deciding factors are durability, ease of maintenance, and a solid tone of wood, then first grade is a great choice for you.
Second & Better Grade MFMA Hard Maple has a natural finish. 2nd grade is thicker, but similar to first grade because it has the same low maintenance performance. It is a great option for gymnasiums, handball and racquetball courts, multipurpose rooms, school shops and cafeterias. Additionally, it’s a great choice for industrial plants, offices, commercial buildings, and residences. This grade of maple is the most commonly used.
Third Grade MFMA Hard Maple has a darker undertone and is sometimes known as character grade because of its color variation. This grade is a mix of the other two grades, making it the lowest. 3rd Grade is a great choice when cost is factor and is still one of the most durable hardwood floor options. 3rd grade can be found in many multipurpose buildings.
