Renovating your old gym floor comes with a lot of questions—including what to do with the old wood. Now that the design arrangements have been made what do you do with your previous gym floor? Do you rip it out and throw it away? Recycle it?
How about turning your old logo into art? At Haldeman Homme,
we can take your old floor logo and frame it into a master piece. Keeping your
old floor logo means keeping a part of your school’s history. It’s valuable and
will be cherished for generations to come.
What can you expect? During the removal process of your old gym floor, the pieces used to create the artwork will be collected and sent to our warehouse. We will then prep, assemble, and ensure it is ready to go. Once the install is complete, we will arrange for it to be display.
Some Common Questions You May Be Asking:
What if my facility is still under construction?
Anderson Ladd will store your art until you are ready for it to be installed for display.
How big can my art be?
The size of your art will depend on the weight of your flooring material. The weight of old flooring can be heavy. Some things to consider are the total weight of your art and the support structure that will be holding it.
What if my art is too heavy?
We put safety first. We want to make sure there’s enough wall support to hold the weight of the art. If the art is too heavy, we can install the logo in multiple sections or install board by board on the wall.
What if the space doesn’t have support structure?
Our Experts Will Help!
Anderson Ladd experts will evaluate the surrounding space for other options. One option would be the ceiling. If there is enough support, winches can be used to hang and lift the art for display.
Display Your School’s History
School logos and mascots change over time, displaying the old floor in your atrium or entryway is one option for keeping the history of your school alive.
